| Description: | Abstract: We have compiled some general maps of Chile. Above all, there are regional overview maps, geological maps with the folds and topographic maps. These maps can also be found in WebGIS.The scale is not uniform for these maps and is therefore not indicated. These maps are georeferenced. So there may be small inaccuracies in the position. This dataset contains seven maps in total: Region Tarapacá and Antofagasta, a topographic and geological overview map of Chile, a geological map of northern Chile, Esquicio de Chile (1:6 Mio) and a map of Quaternary Faults and Folds of Chile (1:4 Mio). The maps can be used for orientation, to determine the local names of points of interest and for wayfinding. |
