| Description: | Abstract: Volumetric water content and temperature of linear slope-parallel patterned ground structures was monitored on hillslopes east of Pisagua (Cerro San Antonio, near meteo station 2.2) between March 2019 and Nov 2021 using SMT100 sensors. Measurements were carried out in three separate sediment profile sections of ~15-20 cm, with 2 sensors per profile section. In each profile section, one sensor was placed into the gypsum-rich bulge-type subsurface structure (crust at surface), the other sensor was placed into the clastic sediments (no crusts) between the bulge-type gypsum structures. |
