Title:Main Title: Curated fasta sequences of 18S SSrRNA of nematodes isolated in the Atacama Desert during sampling in 2022
Description:Other: File containing 299 fasta sequences corresponding to SSrRNA sequences from desert nematodes. DNA was extracted using a modified version of the HotShot DNA extraction method (https://doi.org/10.4319/lom.2008.6.218), primers and PCR conditions implanted have been previously published by other authors (https://doi.org/10.1111/j.1471-8286.2005.01009.x), sequencing was performed using Sanger technology. Sequencing results are final for sampling campaigns conducted in 2022.

Lineage:Sequence quality was assessed using Geneious PrimeĀ® (v. 2022.1.1). Only sequences with at least 20% high quality bases were kept for further processing. Sequences were trimmed at the ends and blasted against the curated 18S-NemaBase from (10.2478/jofnem-2023-0006) using the balstn function in Geneious Prime, best hits were assigned according to the lowest E-value and a high percentage of identity.
